Let’s be real, there are three main reasons why everyone (ladies, I’m looking at you!) wants to come visit Nashville: drinks, food, and Instagram worthy photos. Some of y’all might also be looking for a cute musician but, trust me when I say, you don’t want any advice from me on that front!
One of my favorite things since starting this blog has been connecting with so many of you who are coming to visit Nashville! I love getting Instagram DMs asking me for my list of Nashville must sees. But after six years in Nashville, my list of favorite places is getting pretty lengthy! I decided to write this post as a way to go a little more in-depth about a few of the best places around town.
TOP THREE BARS
This is hands down one of my favorite places in Nashville! It’s a speakeasy style bar with carefully crafted cocktails and a cleverly hidden entrance. The whole place gives off a very 1920s vibe, which is just too fun! Pro tip: order the donuts, you won’t be disappointed!
The Five Spot
If you’re in Nashville on a Monday and you don’t go to The Five Spot, you are seriously missing out! Every Monday night, The Five Spot has Motown Monday, which is just as fun as it sounds! They play nothing but Motown music and, let me tell you, people get into it. Couples swing dance for hours and some have some pretty impressive moves. But fear not, even if you come without a dance partner (or any dance moves!) you will get brought out onto the dancefloor for a few spins!
Honky Tonk Central
I’d be remiss to write a post about bars in Nashville and not included Honky Tonk Central. It’s three stories of quintessential Nashville fun. Think cowboy boots, cowboy hats, and whole lot of country music! Make sure you go up to the third floor and step out onto the balcony – it gives you a great view of the city!
TOP THREE BRUNCHES
M Street is home to some of the BEST restaurants in Nashville, and Tavern is certainly no exception. M Street boasts eight amazing concept restaurants and they are all amazing! If you wanna pretend you’re not on vacation, you can order off of their “Skinny” menu, but I highly recommend you go all in and get a Blood Orange Mimosa and Pretzel Pancakes. You can thank me later!
This place seriously has it all: restaurant, bar, coffee shop, bowling alley, and even a pool! You can spend hours at Pinewood before you even realize how long you’ve been there. The ricotta pancakes are beyond amazing! Plus, they serve brunch until 3 on the weekends so it’s perfect for those mornings that have a bit of a slow start.
East Nashville has always been one of my favorite parts of town and I really think my love for the area started when I went to Marché for Easter brunch my first year at Vanderbilt. The brunch menu changes weekly at this European style café and I’m fairly convinced that it gets better every time! The wait for a table can be a little lengthy for brunch but it is so worth it. Plus, you can get a homemade treat from the bakery and a latte while you wait!
TOP THREE BACKDROPS
Who wouldn’t want to stand in front of a whole wall of flowers? Not only is this wall adorable in every way, it’s also right on 12 south which means you can snap a photo and then walk to the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM (win-win!)
Hillsboro Village Wall
This wall just makes me smile! The colors and patterns are so fun and I love that it’s right in the heart of Hillsboro Village. You can hit up the boutiques in the area and then grab some photos of your new finds in front of this fun wall!
Nashville Rainbow Wall
This hidden gem will always be one of my favorites! It’s across the street from Marché so you can squeeze in a photoshoot before heading to brunch (you could take photos after, but, trust me, you’ll be too full to want to stop and snap pictures!)
I hope this helps y’all plan out your trips to Nashville! Please message me on Instagram or comment below with any questions!
